Technical Field Service
REDA Water has skilled technical teams qualified to support customers in multiple field services for different industries. Our crew includes technicians, chemists, chemical engineers, and consultants in different fields of expertise. The main three categories of field services are:
-
- Water Analysis
- Technical Troubleshooting
- Inspection Services
Let us present for each type, what are the services included within it.
A. Water Analysis
REDA Water has the capability to conduct most of the water analysis tests either through a portable test box or fixed on-site laboratory equipped with all required instruments and glassware. The below parameters can be tested during our field specialist visit:
-
- Water pH
- Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)
- Electrical Conductivity (EC) and Salinity
- Total and Phenolphthalein Alkalinity
- Total, Calcium and Magnesium Hardness
- Anions Analysis (Cl, SO4. PO4, HCO3-)
- Metals Analysis (Fe, Cu, Zn, Al, Mo, Mn)
- Total Suspended Solids (TSS) and Turbidity
- Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD)
- Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD)
- Bacterial Analysis
The samples can be analyzed from different water systems and resources including:
-
- Potable water
- Boilers water (Feedwater, lowdown)
- Cooling Tower water (Feedwater, lowdown)
- Chilled water
- Irrigation water
- Well water
- Reverse Osmosis water (Feed, permeate, reject)
- Swimming pools
- Wastewater (Jar testing)
In addition to the above, REDA Water has the capabilities to conduct special testing requirements within REDA Labs or through third parties using multiple instruments such as Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), Ion Chromatography (IC), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), and microscopies.
B. Technical Troubleshooting
REDA Water has qualified teams to conduct and solve a wide range of technical troubleshooting found in different water systems. The common troubleshooting could be found in water systems are including:
-
- Water Leaking
- Bacterial contamination
- Algae formation
- Scale Formation on different parts of water systems
- Corrosion of different forms (general, galvanic, crevice, MIC)
- Sudden change in water quality parameters
- Industrial cleaning solutions
- Membrane cleaning (CIP)
- Oil and hydrocarbon contamination
- Boiler water quality off-specs
- Phosphate hide-out in boilers
- Coagulation and flocculation optimization
REDA Water’s qualified team can support you 24/7 to overcome the troubleshooting and get back to the normal situation. This service is critical and required in power plants, chemical manufacturing, mining and metal industries, pulp & paper mills, and many others.
C. Inspection Services
REDA Water qualified team are available to support our clients through conducting site-inspection to daily troubleshooting in plants equipment. This inspection includes all water systems including the below:
-
- Water Piping
- High-Pressure Boilers (Steam Dum – Mud Drum)
- Low-Medium Pressure Boilers (Vessel – Condensate)
- Cooling Towers (Condenser – Fill – Nozzles)
- Thermal Desalination Units (MED – MSF – TVC – MVC)
- RO Plants (Membranes – Manifold – Quality)
- Wastewater Treatment Plants (Aeration – Clarification – Filtration)
- Swimming Pools
- Potable Water Networks
These inspections can be conducted to evaluate the conditions of the unit and give suitable technical clarifications to explain the conditions. The most commonly inspected cases – but not limited – are the below:
-
- Corrosion Problems (General – Crevice – Pitting – Filiform – Galvanic)
- Scale Formation Problems (RO – MSF – MED – Condensers – Fills – Heat Exchangers)
- Deposition Problems on Surfaces (Heat Exchangers – Piping)
- Microbiological Induced Corrosion (MIC)
- Algae Formation Problems (Cooling Towers – Swimming Pools – HVAC)
- Foam Formation (Paper Manufacturing – WWTP – DAF – Food Processing)
- Boilers Carryover (Boilers – MSF – MED)
In addition, there are many other troubleshooting that could be found in different industries which can be discussed individually. REDA Water team is always close to its clients in order to support them.
